Finished ~ Sweater Quest

First and foremost, what do you think of the new look? Thanks to Blogger my little pixel stash is looking a little fresher. I love dandelions so this fun for the dog days of summer but as a fall filly I can't wait to switch it to something a little more warm and cozy for the crisp days ahead... ahh Autumn how I miss you!

So on to the book! I actually ran across "Sweater Quest" by Adrienne Martini on one of my many plane trips to and from Baltimore in the Southwest Airlines magazine. I was so intrigued I looked all over the book stores in the airport when I landed to see if I could start reading it immediately but alas, I had to wait until I got home to hit my local bookstore.

So over the last few months, much like many knitting projects and other crafty endeavours, I put it down and picked it up and today I finished it! I won't go into a whole official type book report or review however, I do encourage you to read it, even if you are not a knitter or even particularly crafty because, it's truly about the journey. The take home message for me as a fairly new knitter and not a terribly adventurous one at that I learned two things, 1.) just do it! and 2.) the process of knitting is unique to each person and that rocks! So again, without going into all the reasons I love the book read it :)

I hope to have some fun garden and project pictures soon... stay tuned.
