Gratitude Sunday

I am back..... and I am joining Taryn of Wooly Moss Roots in celebrating a few things that I am so very thankful for.

- For the amazing birthday I spent with people I love along the coast of Northern California. We drove down highway one from Monterey and Carmel to Big Sur. I am almost entirely sure that if it weren't for all the pesky sun I could be so very happy there. The giant trees, the smell and the breeze from the ocean.... ahh.... :)

- The opportunity to travel to Cali and visit Todd and Roxann and see a slice of the next stage of their life there. We miss them so much and having time with them was just awesome!

- Hugs! Have I ever mentioned how much I love them?! Especially from thousands of year old trees! :)

- Coming home to the crispy fall air! I loved having to bundle up these last few days.

- A little over a dozen little red potatoes and a big bunch of rosemary from our garden. The weather yesterday and today was unseasonably warm and we had so many outside projects to get done including cleaning up the container garden for the year. I totally thought that the potatoes had not been successful as I hadn't noted any blossoms so I was beyond surprised and happy to dig through the dirt and find potatoes!!!!  Between starting them late, the wonky weather, and weeks of neglect I still had potatoes. It made me super excited about next year's garden!

- Macabean was happy to see us and has been a super snuggle bug since we got home! Yah!

- For our veterans and their families. I don't have the right words to convey all of this...

- For the beautiful world that surrounds us!
