- Thanksgiving is my favorite time of year. People focus on being thankful, spending time together, and the weather is cool and makes hugs even warmer!
- We were able to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with my mom's side of the family and Shane's parents also came this weekend and we have had calls with my sister, and Shane's brother and sister in law. It was so good to see people we don't see near enough and enjoy the holiday together.
- The weather has turned cold for reals (FINALLY!) and it makes sitting in the house and knitting feel so much more special.
- Watching Macabean watch my mom ply yarn she had spun for me. He just sat on the couch and watched her intently and didn't try and go over the yarn. She talked him through the whole process of measuring and plying. She then explained how to spin the wool and started spinning on her wheel. It was so cute to watch her explain all of this to a cat and for the cat to look genuinely interested. So cute! :)
- Yummy holiday food that I can eat! I had my allergist appointment this week and it was established that I do not have any food allergies (although I am allergic to pretty much every tree, grass, weed, and mold out there as well as cats and dust mites). Based on my acid reflux type symptoms when I eat wheat we think I may have an intolerance so I am going to continue to avoid wheat. So I happily enjoyed deviled eggs, corn casserole, and peanut butter pie (among other things of course).
- I am so thankful that we got some answers during my allergy appointment and have a plan of action that involves non-invasive measures for the time being.
- For lazy days spent with people I love...
What are you thankful for this week?
