After what seems like a crazy yet thankfully, mostly uneventful April, I am so very thankful for so many things;
- Things calming down bunches as the class I am teaching ends, I finish my grading, and have a few weeks before I start teaching another class (my usual online class this time).
- Getting my car back from the shop after a deer hit and almost totaled it a few weeks ago. It is working beautifully and I am SOO happy to have it back!
- Vacation starts on Thursday! We are going to Cabo San Lucas to celebrate Shane's parent's 40th Anniversary. A trip with the whole family to paradise.. Yay!
- A nap with Macabean today. He knows how to help me slow down and take care of me.
- While I killed all of my seedlings (again) I was able to find a sale at Lowes yesterday and planted all but 6 squares of my square foot garden. I am thinking I'll be adding lettuces and will also scope the Farmer's Market this week for some fun things to try. When we get back from vacation I will get the potatoes and corn planted as well as more marigolds.
- A clean house. As busy as we have been I haven't had the time to clean up the way I would like.
- Wonderful friends reminding me that life is short and one should enjoy it!
- Green smoothies and crockpot meals frozen and ready to rock when we have needed them. Which means I am also thankful for our freezer and deep freeze preserving healthy food for us and giving us good options instead of eating out (... as much...)
- Shane seems to be improving after fighting a yucky cold this week.
What are you thankful for this week?
