So I've been playing knitting catch up since the week of Christmas when we travelled west to visit my sister and her family in IL and then Shane's family in NE. One of the projects I have been catching up on is a bunch of "Grandma's Favorite" Dishrags. They were originally intended to be a housewarming gift for my sister way back in August.... needless to say, I'm really behind... They are still going to my sister, just a little late. So, they are basic little dishrags except that I am doing them in funky, mismatched cotton sugar n'cream yarn. I am in the midst of my third in hot pink, orange, yellow, and a little pastel purple... it's fun to see where one skene ran out and another begins... kinda of like the new year, right?
So the pattern is uber easy and one of the oldest patterns around;
Goodies Needed1 ball of cotton yarn...or remnenats of a few...
US size 9 needles
PatternCast on 4 sts.
Row 1: Knit one row.
Row 2: K2, YO, knit to the end of the row.
Repeat row 2 until there are 40 sts
Next row: K1, K2tog, YO, K2tog, knit to the end of the row.
Continue decreasing until 4 sts left. Cast off.
See... it's really neat!
