I just learned in my knitting group how to use double pointed needles. I hate them. My mom taught me to use circular needles a few months ago. I don't hate them but I don't love them either. My niece requested a pair of heel-less, toe-less yoga socks. I am happy to oblige her. So I started them on both 11 inch (cable) circular needles and double points. Neither of them worked with ease and outcome that I wanted. Sooo... I did some research and discovered 9 inch circular needles and a pattern with which to knit traditional socks with them too!! yah! So for those of you like me that hate double points, don't have the skills yet to learn the magic loop method or just plain want a "relaxing" sock process... it can be done!!! (or so I think... I won't get my needles for a week or so). So more to come soon on the sock front...
Oh, and for those still reading... I ordered 9 inch hiyahiya stainless steel circular needles in US size 4. Hiyahiya is one of the few manufacturers, according to my research, that make circulars this short.
