I returned home today after travelling for work and found that the;
- strawberry plant had 5 buds/flowers.
- tomato plant had 4-5 buds/flowers.
- cilantro had sprouted about 2 inches.
- basil is growing too
- pumpkin I thought was a dud has started to grow a bit!!
I also got seeds and an organic starter set for; sage, rosemary, thyme, catnip, nastursum, and pumpkin (thinking the last pumpkin seeds weren't going to work out) and got them all started.
I really hope that at the very least the herbs survive, do well, and keep me from buying fresh herbs, which gets super duper expensive as much as we use them. This is my first time gardening since I was little with my mom and I feel like the entire process is a HUGE gamble. So to help my little garden grow (or mostly because I want a good excuse to make one), I have decided to knit a gnome!
The pattern can be found here . While you are there for the pattern, enjoy the rest of the blog! The family is such an inspiritaion to those seeking to live a more simple and earth friendly life.
I will work on getting some pictures with my next post.
