Happy Birthday & A Handknit Dice Bag

Today is my dear husband Shane's birthday. We are celebrating with his favorite pizza, beer (well, I'm going to enjoy some cider), and brownies!

About once a month or so we go to Bloomington and game with friends (well, I knit and try and game), and I decided we needed a nicer and more handy way to transport dice. After searching for a basic pattern on ravelry, I decided just to wing it! I knit it in scrap fisherman's wool and it only took me about an hour or so. The following is the super, duper, easy pattern that can be easily modified for lager or smaller drawstring bags for whatever you might find them handy for.

Erika's Dice Bag Formula (knit)
- Scrap Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool or other worsted weight yarn
- US Size 8 straight needles
- Tapestry Needle

1.) Cast on 20 stitches using your favorite cast on method.
2.) Work in knit stitch to your desired bag height (I knit 12 inches).
3.) Cast off and weave in ends.
4.) Fold the work so that the right side faces in and sew up both long ends.
5.) Weave scrap yarn about 2 rows down from the top opening on each side.
6.) Enjoy!

In upcoming posts I plan to share my garden plans and love of Greek yogurt!
