Gratitude Sunday

I am joining Taryn of Wooly Moss Roots in celebrating a few things that I am so very thankful for.

Throughout the Week I Have Been Thankful For;

- RAIN! We are currently soaking up the remnants of Hurricane Issac here in central Indiana after a drought plagued summer. The feel, smell, taste, and sound of rain is so amazingly wonderful, peaceful, and cleansing. I only wish that so many people in the Gulf weren't dealing with the devastation of the hurricane.

- Another big bunch full of lavender harvested and drying. I love it's smell and will appreciate it later this winter in my closets and drawers :)

- A wonderful Saturday! I started the morning with a "My First Sweater" class at a local yarn shop. Then spent the afternoon napping, and the evening celebrating a girlfriend's birthday at her new home with warm conversation

- A call from my sister in law in Cali. I miss our wine and lobster dinners and can't wait till my birthday when we go to visit them!

- An "easy" and fairly inexpensive service call to have our AC repaired. While I am thankful for the cool, allergen free air provided by the AC, it was nice to open up the house and watch Macabean chirp/meow at the wind coming in through the windows.

- Have I mentioned rain?!! I am SOOOO thankful for it!!!!

- The promise of a changing season. I am ready for fall and all of the beauty and coziness that it provides. The rain this weekend has made it feel closer than ever!

- A quick and somewhat silly phone call with my mom :)

- Seriously people, I am SO beyond thankful for the rain. My soul needed it!

- Our meatless Monday dinner this week of Indiana sweet corn from the farmer's market, sun tea from our backyard, and some yummy Irish aged cheddar. It may not have been the most balanced meal but it sure was tasty :)

- Squishy, warm, beautiful yarn!

What have you been thankful for this week?
