Knitting & The Olympics

I have a post all planned to talk about my silly garden... silly because it continues to amaze me in both good and frustrating ways.

This however, is dedicated to my plan for Olympic knitting. You see, I am a HUGE fan of the Olympics both summer and winter. I was a swimmer in high school and some in college (200 and 400 IMs as well as the 200 and 500 free events if you are dying to know :) and so swimming is probably my favorite sport to watch but I love watching almost every sport (not a huge fan of volleyball and I wasn't too sad to see baseball or softball go) but otherwise, if the Olympics are on, I am watching them! I was also able to attend the Summer Games in Atlanta in 1996 and the Winter Games in Salt Lake City in 2002 as a total fangirl!

While watching this year's game I am planning to knit and hopefully complete a few projects. So here is my accountability to click the needles and not totally zone out to Ryan Lochte kicking Michael Phelp's bum! The projects I am hoping to complete in the next 13 days include;

- The Fisherman Wool Shawl Redux (I frogged the first one and the second one is coming along nicely).
- Fingerless Mitts
- Garter Stitch Coin Purse
- The Knitty Wisp (at least start on a larger/fuzzier version)

So I will keep you posted and post some pictures of my progress (and of the super fun little Opening Ceremonies Party we hosted).
