Progress

I was going to post about my newly acquired shawl pins (yep, call me an old lady if you will but you'll see, these are not your grandma's shawl pins!) however, since I've been spending so much time trying to finish the diagonal baby blanket, I thought I would show off some progress and share the pattern.

Since frogging a whole chunk of it and re-knitting a good few inches, the blanket is now coming along very nicely and I'm hoping to finish it tomorrow, if not tonight. Then, for the same recipient, I am planning to make booties and a hat too accompany the blanket. All for a baby that is due THIS WEEK!! One of these days I'll get ahead on my knitting projects, right?

~ All apologies for the not too exciting picture.

The pattern itself is based on the "Grandma's Favorite Dishrag" pattern that I posted about a month or so back and can be found FREE on the Lion Brand Yarn website . Essentially, it's a larger version of the dishrag pattern that I have chosen to knit with Lion Brand "Jiffy" yarn in white and US size 13 needles.

In other news I have officially restarted my food and exercise journal and am determined to keep up with it!
